The ELSI T-shirt design contest held this summer.
Nine ELSI members submitted original designs for this contest. All members voted for their favorite designs.
The winner is Nicholas Guttenberg! He is a researcher of complex systems science.
Nicholas's design visualizes the "evolution of the Earth" drawn in clockwise, with small images of coral and algae evolving into trees, dinosaurs and ending with man-made skyscrapers.
I'm looking forward to seeing ELSI members wearing this T-shirt.
And as an addition that was not entered into the contest, I'd like to introduce a very pretty piece of work that was made by Vice Director Ida's child.
