NASA selects an APL's instrument for MMX; Dr.Usui joins the team from Japan

For the Martian Moons eXploration (MMX) (http://mmx.isas.jaxa.jp/en/)mission led by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), NASA selects a gamma-ray and neutron spectrometer developed by Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL).

MMX is JAXA's future flagship mission and will visit the two Martian moons, Phobos and Deimos, land on the surface of Phobos, and collect a surface sample. Dr. Usui at ELSI is the only Japanese scientist who joins the APL's instrument team.
