Dr. Chan, Professor of Geology at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah, will be coming to ELSI as part of her lecture tour as the 2014 Geological Society of America Distinguished International Lecturer.
She will give two talks at ELSI, one on using our knowledge of Earth's sedimentary environments to interpret the sedimentary history of Mars, and the other on the eolian (wind-blown) sand dune systems and what their complex geological stories and paleoenvironmental records tell us.
