Abstract:
Recently the construction of protocells has drawn much attention regarding to possible origin of life. Among them, we focus on the mobility of protocells. We have found the droplet-type or vesicle-type self-assembly that can exhibit locomotion underwater in the presence of surfactant.
This locomotion is primarily derived from the interfical free energy of the self-assembly and/or self-diffusiophoresis.
In this seminar, we would discuss about the future of mobile protocells.
