Abstract:
With special emphasis on the electron flow, I would like to talk about metabolism in Hydrogenobacter thermophiles, which has the deepest branching point in terms of 16S rDNA analysis. The talk will include energy metabolism (hydrogenase system and detoxification system for reactive oxygen species), carbon metabolism (reductive TCA cycle), and molecules which connect the two metabolisms (Quinone and cytochrome).
