The pyrite-type high-pressure form of FeOOH

A team of researchers at Ehime University Geodynamics Research Center (GRC) led by Dr. Masayuki Nishi, Dr. Yasuhiro Kuwayama, Dr. Jun Tsuchiya and Dr. Taku Tsuchiya succeeded in discovering new FeOOH which is stable under ultra-high pressure.

This research was published on an online version of Nature prior to Nature magazine.
